Custom Cuba!, May 2024Each day was great. Juan Carlos made the day perfect. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable and were enjoying the excursion. Fernando and his wife at the hotel Alameda were terrific as well. They cooked us a special dinner just for us on the last night we were staying .

Custom Cuba!, May 2024We really enjoyed our Cuba experience. La Boutique Hotel de la Alameda was welcoming, clean, and lovely. Fernando, the concierge, was particularly helpful and kind. He arranged an authentic Cuban dinner for us with his wife as chef. We can't say enough about our driver and guide Juan Carlos. He was knowledgeable about Cuban history and present issues--in fact he was well-read on most historical and current world affairs. He was also fun to be with. He had a wonderful sense of humor and our road trips were punctuated by much laughter. When we left, we said good-bye to him as a friend. Thank you so much for arranging this wonderful trip.

Sacred Japan and South Korea Cruise, May 2024The excursions were very interesting. The guides were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to give help and provided informative backgrounds on the Japanese culture. We very much enjoyed being on a smaller ship and the crew was very attentive. We enjoyed the activities and were prepared for the walking.

Split to Dubrovnik Cruise, Croatia, May 2024Since this was my first cruise holiday, I was curious about how much I would like the experience. Mama Marija far exceeded my expectations in every way. The ship was lovely, the crew: amazing, and the food was fabulous to the extreme. Cruise manager Marianna was a joy to be around and full of great information at all times. I got to safely swim in the sea for the first time in my life knowing that Kreso was overseeing us swimmers and making certain we were safe. Can't thank the staff enough! Novak made each meal a joy and Josipa took great care of the ship. Each city guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about their part of Croatia. I really fell in love with Croatia and want to take another cruise down the Dalmatian Coast!

Guatemala!, May 2024It was a wonderful experience and certainly memorable. Perhaps the best part was our guide, Judith. She is certainly one of the best guides we have had over the years. Our driver, Mark, was also very helpful. The birthday cake which Maria had arranged for Renu was a wonderful surprise. A choir of random passing tourists and security guards was recruited to join in singing happy birthday in English and Spanish to our birthday girl, as well as to enjoy the cake. It was great fun. On the way to Lake Atitlan, by chance we saw a large group of people who had gathered for a Mayan ritual at one of the archaeological sites, with shamans and fires and ceremonies. Very interesting.

Orangutans and Dragons Cruise, Indonesia & Bali, May 2024Amazing, phenomenal, stupendous and many other adjectives. Dion out tour leader was great. The Katerina was fun. Great food and amazing crew. The experiences on the dragon portion were once in a lifetime. Swimming with whale sharks, mana and eagle rays and turtles was unbelievable. This was the best coral and most sea life I have seen anywhere in the world and I have snorkeled in Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico, central and South America, Okinawa, the Red sea, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and Gulf of Mexico. The Orangutan portion of the trip was interesting and fun to observe the animals in their natural habitat. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants an adventure. This is not a trip for the cruise ship group. We are 76 and 77 and enjoyed every aspect. We did pass on some of the trecks up the mountains but other than that we did not miss an activity. Loved it

Amazon and the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, May 2024The trip was amazing. In the Amazon the boat was very nice with clean neat rooms with floor to ceiling windows, excellent food, and a top deck with a hot tub. The staff was really really nice. We even had fun and joked around. Kayaking in the jungle, walking through the jungle at night, and swimming were all super fun. It was nice even just cruising along the river in a motorized canoe. In the Galapagos the boat was likewise very nice and roomy. We had great excursions, especially snorkeling, seeing colorful fish, sea cucumbers, sea stars, etc. Walking on the islands was lovely, and toward the end we had a couple nice excursions just relaxing on the beach. Finally, the cloud forest was also excellent. The guided walks were personalized to whomever was along, and the guide went above and beyond, pulling us out of supper to see cool animals. All three of our guides were amazing. They knew everything about the local flora and fauna, were energetic, enthusiastic and fun. It was a great trip!

Eastern and Northern Islands, Galapagos, Apr 2024We had an amazing trip and were truly impressed at how smoothly and professionally everything went. Right from the start, not only did our driver get us from the airport to our hotel in Quito, but he gave us tons of information about Ecuador, the region, current events, and all kinds of helpful background along the way. And we loved Hotel Patio Andaluz! Our guide (and driver) for the city tour the following day were wonderful and very flexible, carefully avoiding all the disruption in town due to May Day. But the Galapagos portion--the main event--was the best! The Eco Galaxy was the perfect size (16 passengers) for small group adventure, but still a variety of people. The crew on the boat were great and very attentive to all our needs and our safety, and our nature guide, Renny, was fun, informative, and very knowledgeable. We did two trips back to back, and that was the perfect length to see a wide variety of wildlife and sites, but not too long.
Thanks to Adventure Life for the amazing trip! We were extremely impressed at how smoothly everything went and felt completely looked after and well-taken care of from start to finish!

Incas & Rainforests and Tambopata, Peru, Apr 2024JC at Machu Picchu was so knowledgeable, fun loving and great at assessing our acclamation to the high altitude. He also gave us insight into Peru culture past and present and seemed to be connected to everyone - got us through everyone very fast. Helped us reach our goal of climbing Huayna Picchu. Loved the accommodations as well. At Tambopata in the Amazon, Jiar was an outstanding guide - found animals and birds that were hidden and could identify just about everything. The food and accommodations were great. Loved the whole trip and everything was seamless! Would highly recommend.

Incas & Rainforests and Tambopata, Peru, Apr 2024Great trip. Juan Carlos & Yair were fantastic guides. Both did a remarkable job sharing their expertise and knowledge. They also did a great job of "pacing" for our specific group.

Western Islands, Galapagos, Apr 2024The fact that we had a brand new boat, all the passengers knew one another and we had a fantastic guide made the overall trip unique and it would likely be impossible to duplicate.
Mary Rose was excellent in her efforts to answer all of our questions, as well as arranging the relatively last minute dinner in Quito to and from the airport. Santiago the driver for this excursion was great and if I ever go back to Quito, he would be the fellow I would want to get me around. His English was excellent, he was fun and informative and very helpful.

Western Islands, Galapagos, Apr 2024This was a trip of a lifetime - it exceeded all my expectations. The ship’s crew were amazing, extremely friendly and courteous , nonjudgmental when I had difficulties. They were extremely concerned with our safety but still making sure we enjoyed every adventure. Our tour guide Ale was superb - she obviously loved what she was doing ,was knowledgeable and shared that knowledge in a fun way. Five stars is not a high enough rating - she went above and beyond to fulfill everyone’s wish list even getting me a non swimming water fearing person into the ocean to enjoy the snorkeling.
