Adventure Life specializes in custom, experience-driven travel, including small-ship expedition-style cruises, eco-lodges, active adventures, luxury experiential travel, and privately guided journeys with responsible local operators. We focus on immersive, personalized trips rather than mainstream cruises, large beach resorts, hotel-only stays, or simple point-to-point travel bookings.

You’ll be paired with a Trip Planner and their support team who specialize in your destination. They’ll guide your entire planning process and remain available before, during, and after your client's trip.

Yes, with some exceptions. For the vast majority of our itineraries online (~97%), you are eligible for 10% commission on commissionable items in the package. Please note that some trips tack on or require non-commissionable items, like charter flights and port fees. Due to low margins in certain areas or on certain necessary products, we have to reduce commission on certain items. If you are looking at a product with one of these exceptions, your Trip Planner will advise you, and Adventure Life will split the total margin with you if the commission falls lower than 10%.

Not at all. Sample itineraries are just a starting point. We can tweak those to fit your needs or build something completely unique from scratch.

We offer a Lifetime Customer Guarantee. Our team builds the trip and recognizes that you, as the travel agent, are our client. Should one of your travelers reach out to Adventure Life directly for a future trip, we will instruct the client to include you as the agent on record. As long as you and the traveler want to continue working together, we will build their next trip together and award your commission–up to 15% on every trip!

That is at your discretion. We'll customize our client communications to your preferences for the planning and traveling processes. 

Some travel agents prefer to send clients our way and have us work directly from there. If you prefer to let our team handle the niche, adventure travel requests, we gladly offer a 5% referral commission.

Effectively selling custom travel to the world’s most exotic destinations requires a significant time investment. To reward agencies that commit to offering and selling our custom tours and cruises, we offer an Adventure Life Travel Agency Partnership Agreement. This plan provides an easy path to increased commissions via retroactive overrides for volume each calendar year. We offer up to 12% commission on small ship cruises and packaged products, and up to 15% commission on custom land travel. Agencies that achieve this repeatedly can then lock in this rate as a permanent commission. Reach out to a Trip Planner to learn more about how we can support your agency.

Travel agents may opt to have the clients pay us directly, or you can route the funds through your own office. If you have a client pay us directly, sales commissions are paid two weeks after the trip's end date. If you prefer to route the funds through your office, you can pay us an agency check less your commission at the final payment due date. We do not accept agency credit cards.

It depends on the destination, the activities involved, and the child’s travel experience. Most trips have a minimum age of 6 or older, but some itineraries may be suitable for younger children. We’re happy to help you find the best fit for your client's family.

Custom travel means we build your trip around your client—their interests, travel dates, budget, and activity level. They're not joining a fixed group tour start to finish unless they select one from the handful we offer; they're getting a thoughtfully crafted experience tailored to their preferences. That may include join-in day excursions with others (e.g., rafting excursions), but many days, they may be by themselves or with their guide only. It is up to your clients to decide how they like to travel.

Custom trips may include accommodations, guided excursions (private or shared), transfers, internal flights, meals, and more. We also help with travel insurance, special requests, dietary needs, and documentation.

No, you decide what communication access we have to your client, but we find for custom travel, arranging a three-way video conference or phone call is always best to ensure the client is matched properly on the right kind of trip and has the right expectations during the trip planning process. We strongly recommend this approach and ensure that you remain the point of contact for your client as you deem best for your relationship.

No. We design trips across a range of budgets, from adventure-forward experiences to high-end, private escapes. It’s about the right experience for the traveler, not the most expensive one.

Yes. While many activities are shared, like day tours or boat excursions, we also offer fully private experiences, whether that's a private guide, driver, or chartered vessel. Special net rates are available for groups and custom tours, leaving it open for you to mark up as you please. Please contact us for more information.

Yes. Your client will have access to both our team and local partners throughout their trip, along with emergency contact numbers and logistical support anytime they need it.

You will have an account in our My Trips portal, where you can manage all your client reservations in one spot and have visibility to your total commission calculations and when payouts are due. We are also working on building out a more robust portal with training tools to help you sell well.
