Kuriftu Resort & Spa Lake Tana

Kuriftu Resort & Spa Lake Tana is one of several Kuriftu Resorts properties in Ethiopia. The resort has 28 rooms set among landscaped gardens along the shore of Lake Tana. The buildings are made of earth and wood and designed to fit the natural setting. Gardens and greenery are kept up across the grounds, and birdwatching is a central part of the Kuriftu experience. Bahir Dar lies in the Amhara Region, an area with a long religious history. Island monasteries of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church sit on the lake, and hippos are sometimes seen from the water.

Rooms & Suites
The resort has rooms in three categories: Lake View rooms, Gateway Retreat garden view rooms, and Presidential Suites. Every room has a private bathroom with a shower, a tea and coffee maker, a 32" HDTV, Wi-Fi, a safety deposit box, and a luggage rack. Bathrobes and a hairdryer are provided. Every stay includes daily breakfast for two guests. In the Presidential Suite, breakfast is included for up to four guests.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
Tana Lakefront Restaurant is the main restaurant. It sits at the water’s edge and serves traditional Ethiopian and Western dishes. Guests can also eat at the Kuriftu Buffet or order from the Treat by the Porch menu. Cabana dining by the lake is available, and tables can be reserved in advance. The wellness area has a steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi, and spa services include massage, manicure, and pedicure from the Forest Spa menu. Every stay includes pool access, one complimentary body or foot massage, and an airport shuttle to the resort. The resort also hosts weddings, birthdays, and corporate events.
