Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Board the 5-star deluxe Nile cruise boat, Sanctuary Sun Boat IV, moored in a private dock in Aswan. On board, be welcomed by the reception staff, who offer chilled fruit juice and assist with the noon time check-in.
Delight yourself with an exquisite lunch served on board and in the afternoon, visit the Granite Quarries, which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and temples, and still hold a huge unfinished obelisk.
Enjoy afternoon tea served in the lounge and tonight be greeted by your Boat Manager as you enjoy a selection of canapés with some complimentary Egyptian wine and local beer. Gourmet dinner served on board.
A breakfast buffet will be served on board, followed by a short motorboat ride to visit the romantic and majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika. This will be followed by a visit to the Granite Quarries, which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and temples, and still hold a huge unfinished obelisk.
Later, an Egyptian cooking lesson will be presented on board. Enjoy lunch, while you cruise to Kom Ombo and visit the magnificent Temple of Kom Ombo - dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek. Afternoon tea will be served while you cruise to Edfu.
Tonight will be an “Egyptian Night” costume party for all guests, with a chance to dress up in traditional Egyptian “galabeyya”. Dinner will be a lavish buffet of Egyptian specialties, followed by oriental music and dancing for everyone.
Savor a breakfast buffet on board whilst sailing to Luxor. This morning your Egyptologist guides you around the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun and then onwards to the Temple of Karnak.
After lunch, visit the Valley of the Kings. You can also visit at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. On the way back to the river, pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn.
Return to your cruise for afternoon tea on board. Tonight’s farewell dinner is a gala dinner (jacket required), with white-gloved waiters serving gourmet cuisine.

Accommodation Information
- Sun Boat IV has 34 Cabins, 2 Presidential Suites and 2 Royal Suites. Triple cabin accommodation is only available in Nile Deck Cabins, and in the Presidential and Royal Suites.
- Nile Adventure has 26 Cabins, 2 Junior suites and 2 Presidential. Triple cabin accommodation is only available in Nile Deck Cabins, and in the Presidential.
Single Occupancy
All single occupancy bookings are subject to the single rates listed.
Children Policy
Children aged 10 and over are welcome on board all Sanctuary boats. Children aged 15 and younger are required to share a cabin with at least one adult.
Child Rates
One child aged up to and including 15 years sharing a Nile Deck Cabin, Presidential Suite or Royal Suite with two adults pays the child rate listed for Sanctuary Sun Boat IV. On all other occasions children pay the adult rate.
Initial deposit is 20% non-refundable, and most travelers will call our office and pay the deposit with a credit card.
Final payment is due 70 days prior to departure by Bank transfer, check or credit card. All final payments by credit card may be subject to a surcharge and maximum of $20,000 charge
Everything was amazing! The planning with Adventure Life went smoothly. The actual trip was fantastic! One of the best trips I have experienced. The cruise staff members were knowledgeable and attentive. I will be writing more about this on the blog!
