Victoria Falls River Lodge

Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private game lodge set in the Zambezi National Park. This luxury tented lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River – so close to Victoria Falls one can see the spray in the distance!

The only thing that resembles a tent in these 5 star rooms is the canvas on the outside!
Erected upon raised decks, under vast thatched roofs, each spacious tent has been tastefully decorated in earthy hues and offers a larger than king size bed, freestanding bath, comfortable sitting area, open plan bathroom with freestanding bath and both indoor and outdoor showers.

Each private viewing deck affords spectacular views of the river and surrounding natural flora and invites guests to sit back and relax whilst watching the hippos wallow.
Several of the Luxury Tents have their own private plunge pools and these may be booked upon request at no additional charge. Future plans include the installation of an exclusive plunge pool on each of the rooms’ decks, but until this has been completed; bookings for these tents are made on a first come first served basis.

Family Suites also offer an adjoining tented room, with one single (3/4 sized) bed and one bunk bed, where up to three sharing children (younger than 17 years old) can sleep comfortably; allowing their parents a bit more privacy.

Standard to each ‘tent’ are mosquito nets, a mini bar, electronic safe, tea/coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, air-conditioners and international adapters to help make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Victoria Falls River Lodge’s spacious, open plan design offers cool sanctuary from the African sun.  Positioned meters from the river’s edge, guests are invited to relax and unwind with panoramic views over the Zambezi River – interrupted only by the occasional elephant strolling by or wallowing hippo; to the melodious sounds of birdsong and the gentle munching of ‘resident’ warthogs as they keep the lawns neatly trimmed.
