Day 1: Longyearbyen | Embark

Commence your expedition in Longyearbyen, the world’s northernmost town. Admire the stark grandeur of its surrounding peaks before boarding Aqua Lares to venture into the icy wilderness.

Day 2: Samarinvagen

Start the day exploring Samarinvagen, where a calving glacier fills the bay with drifting ice floes that often host bearded seals. Observe seabirds such as little auks, Brunnich’s guillemots, and king eiders, and with luck, catch a glimpse of a beluga.

Day 3: Bear Island

Today, head out on excursions along the remote cliffs of Bear Island, home to vast colonies of puffins, guillemots, and fulmars. Enjoy close encounters with the destination's remarkable population of seabirds while out on a tender exploration. Learn more about the island’s unique ecology from your naturalist guides.

Day 4: Rantalabukta (Reinoya)

Step ashore on Reinoya, a secluded island once used by Sami herders for reindeer grazing. Join your expert naturalist guides on walks across raised beaches to witness remarkable geological formations.

Day 5: Skarsvag (Nordkapp) | Gjesvaer

The day begins with an exploration of Skarsvag, one of Europe’s northernmost villages, where wild reindeer wander past clusters of colorful houses. In the afternoon, continue to Gjesvaer and set out by tender to Gjesvaerstappan, where puffins, gannets, and kittiwakes gather in one of Europe’s largest seabird colonies.

Day 6: Tromso | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast

The trip was terrific with great planning on your part. Most of the adventures were not mainstream and somewhat off the beaten path which made it especially enjoyable!! We felt taken care of and you all were readily available to respond to questions and issues. I would highly recommend your company and friends have already expressed interest based on our pictures and excitement.
