Day 1: Tromso | Embark

Your expedition begins in Tromso, situated 300 kilometers above the Arctic Circle and often referred to as the “Paris of the North.” Step aboard Aqua Lares and settle into your elegant cabin as the voyage ventures into the remote Arctic wilderness.

Day 2: Gjesvaer | Skarsvag (Nordkapp)

Begin the day exploring Gjesvaer, taking a tender to Gjesvaerstappan, home to vast colonies of puffins, gannets, and kittiwakes—one of Europe’s largest seabird sanctuaries. In the afternoon, continue to Skarsvag, among Europe’s northernmost villages, where wild reindeer roam between clusters of colorful houses.

Day 3: Rantalabukta (Reinoya)

Step ashore on Reinoya, a secluded island once used by Sami herders for reindeer grazing. Join your expert naturalist guides on walks across raised beaches to witness remarkable geological formations.

Day 4: Bear Island

Today, head out on excursions along the remote cliffs of Bear Island, home to vast colonies of puffins, guillemots, and fulmars. Enjoy close encounters with the destination's remarkable population of seabirds while out on a tender exploration. Learn more about the island’s unique ecology from your naturalist guides.

Day 5: Samarinvagen

Begin the day exploring Samarinvagen, where a calving glacier fills the bay with ice floes that serve as haul-out sites for bearded seals. Watch seabirds such as little auks, Brunnich’s guillemots, and king eiders, and with luck, glimpse a beluga.

Day 6: Longyearbyen | Disembark

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
