Day 1: Darwin | Embark

On select departures, board at Darwin Fort Hill Wharf at either 8:00 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. departure or 4:00 p.m. for a 5:00 p.m. departure. Check your pre-departure documents for confirmed times.

Settle into your cabin, look over the vessel, then attend a safety and welcome briefing before joining sunset drinks as the ship heads toward the Kimberley coast.

Day 2: King George Falls

Travel through the gorges of the Gardner Plateau and move into the spray of King George Falls, the tallest twin waterfalls in Western Australia. Depending on the time of year, ride the Xplorer tenders for close views of honeycomb-patterned sandstone or powerful early-season water flow.
 

Day 3: Vansittart Bay

Explore Vansittart Bay’s ancient Gwion Gwion rock art galleries. From the Anjo Peninsula, view the preserved C-53 Skytrooper aircraft wreck, grounded in 1942 and now a haunting historical site reflecting wartime aviation mystery.

Day 4: Mitchell Falls | Wollaston Bay

Enjoy helicopter (optional extra) access to Mitchell Falls amid tiered waterfalls and emerald pools, visit Wollaston Bay home to Wandjina and Gwion rock art galleries, before an evening BBQ under the Kimberley's iconic sunset..

Day 5: Prince Frederick Harbor and Bigge Island

Cruise into Porosus Creek up Prince Regent River to explore mangrove-lined waterways with sea eagles and mudskippers. Visit Bigge Island (Wuuyuru) to learn about Wunambal culture among monsoon forests, mudflats and coastal ecosystems.

 

Day 6: Prince Regent River | Careening Bay

Traverse down the straight fault-line of the Prince Regent River by tender to reach King Cascade. From Xplorers' view, cascading layered falls and lush vegetation, framed by dramatic sandstone walls, rush into the river below.

Step ashore in Careening Bay to see the historic Mermaid Boab Tree, carved by Lt. King’s carpenter in 1820. Learn the story of HMC Mermaid and explore coastal forests beside pristine ocean waters in this evocative Kimberley bay.

Day 7: Montgomery Reef

With changing tides, Montgomery Reef emerges dramatically at low tide. Explore by tender through cascading rock pools and riffles filled with marine life. Watch birds, turtles, dolphins and dugongs feed in this shifting reef ecosystem spectacle.

Day 8: Doubtful Bay

Discover Doubtful Bay’s remote beauty, climb up to Ruby Falls at Red Cone Creek and navigate rock formations to crystal freshwater pools. Enjoy light bushwalking and scenic swimming in a tranquil setting on this secluded stretch or alternatively take a scenic cruise of the area.

Day 9: Horizontal Falls | Buccaneer Archipelago

Witness the rushing waters of Horizontal Falls on Zodiac tenders, classed among the most incredible natural wonders. Then cruise the rugged Buccaneer Archipelago, visiting the Iron Islands before enjoying sunset drinks aboard the ship.

Day 10: Lacepede Islands

If tides and weather permit, explore the Lacepede Islands, a Class‑A nature reserve. Witness seabird rookeries, green turtle nesting zones, and glide through coastal lagoons aboard the tenders for an immersive wildlife experience.

Day 11: Broome | Disembark

Arrive in Broome at 8:00am and disembark. Transfers to hotels or airports are included. Extend your journey to explore Cable Beach, Chinatown, the waterfront or Wave Pool at your leisure.

These 21.4 Sq m staterooms are comfortably furnished with a junior King size bed which can be separated into two singles. A wardrobe, desk and armchair are included. A compact en-suite bathroom has a toilet, shower and ample storage. Your private balcony has seating for two from which to view the passing coastal vistas. These staterooms are located on the Explorer deck.

Bridge Deck Balcony Suites are equipped with a lounge area, minibar and personal coffee machine. Along with special King sized beds which can be separated into two singles. An 3.5 sq m private balcony has an outdoor daybed and lounge chair for two.
