Day 1: Fremantle | Walyalup | Embark

Arrive at Fremantle Berth C by 4:00 pm and board the ship. Get comfortable in your stateroom and orient yourself around the onboard spaces. As evening approaches, meet fellow travelers and crew for the captain’s welcome drinks, followed by dinner onboard.

Day 2-10: Exploring Western Australia

Rottnest Island | Wadjemup
Connect with Whadjuk Noongar custodians whose ties to this land span more than 30,000 years. Take a guided walk focused on seasonal living, cultural practices, and welcome traditions, then follow sections of the Wadjemup Bidi trail network. Scan Cape Vlamingh and West End for whales when conditions allow.

Eagle Bay
Explore Eagle Bay at your own pace with multiple options along the Cape to Cape Track, ranging from short walks to longer hikes. Later in the day, watch the coastline pass by while cruising near Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.
Optional extra: Join a whale-watching charter from Dunsborough at additional cost.

Sea Day
Slow the pace during a full day onboard. Spend time on deck or in your cabin, attend talks led by regional specialists, take part in a hosted wine tasting, and keep watch for whales as the ship follows the coastline.

Albany | Kinjarling
Step into Western Australia’s oldest European settlement and learn about Minang Noongar culture and maritime heritage. Discover how the whaling industry influenced the town, then explore exhibitions, galleries, cultural displays, and seasonal wildflowers during free time ashore.

Point Ann & Whalebone Point
Choose a walk along the Point Ann Heritage Trail or tackle the Mamang Trail while observing whales from shore and Xplorer tenders. The sheltered bay often attracts southern right whales. Snorkel or kayak if sea conditions permit.

Cheynes Beach
Visit a key southern right whale area active from early winter through late spring. Learn about whale migration studies and the Mirnong Maat tagging program. Search for rare bird species, including the noisy scrub-bird, and follow coastal paths into Arpenteur Nature Reserve.

Augusta
Walk through Boranup Forest on a guided loop track beneath towering karri trees, among the tallest on Earth. During Kambarang, the season of renewal, observe widespread wildflower displays throughout the forest.

Busselton | Undalup
Spend time in one of Western Australia’s earliest towns, known for local food and beverages. Ride the small train or walk the 1.8-kilometer jetty, browse heritage routes, galleries, and markets, or sample regional produce at nearby cafes.

Day 11: Fremantle | Walyalup | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
This morning you arrive into the Port of Fremantle, C Berth, at 7:00am before disembarking at 8:00am. Post-cruise transfers will be provided to Perth Airport and CBD hotels in Fremantle and Perth.
