Day 1: Arrive Victoria Falls

Arrive Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and transfer to your hotel. Situated within the grounds of the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge resort, only four kilometres from Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side. The rest of the day is free to explore the grounds of the hotel, which is set high on a natural plateau, overlooking a private waterhole with uninterrupted bushveld views and spectacular African sunsets.

Day 2: Explore Victoria Falls & Sunset Luxury Cruise

After breakfast, head out to explore Victoria Falls with your guide.  This two hour tour of the Fall is a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell give you a humbling feeling that this is truly one of nature's supreme masterpieces. As you walk through the rainforest, your guide will teach you the history of the Falls and point out the surrounding flora, fauna, bird and wildlife. Return to your hotel for the afternoon.

Early evening, board a boat for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.  Sunset is not only a great time for some spectactular views but the perfect time to see animals and birds emerge in the cooling evening temperatures.  Enjoy some gourmet snacks, wines and spirits on board while you spy on hippos and crocodiles. Return to your hotel for dinner.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
