Upon arrival to the Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport meet your Safari representative and head straight to Victoria Falls, the world's largest sheet of falling water! Take a guided tour of the area before departing for camp on the Zambezi River.
*Please note that the falls are seasonal and almost completely disappear in November and December.
We fly to Kasane for a Chobe River Boat Cruise. The area is famous for its vast herds of elephants in the dry season and other unique species. Enjoy a light lunch on the boat.
Transfer back to the airport this morning to catch a light aircraft flight to Kasane for a Chobe River Boat Cruise. This area is known for vast herds of elephants as well as non-predatory species such as bufallo, giraffe, hippo, zebra, hippo and white rhino. ripe with the Linyanti Concession. After the cruise, depart Kasane by air to the private Linyanti concession. Arrive to camp in time to freshen up and enjoy dinner.
The Linyanti's perpetual waters attract herds of wildlife that walk well-worn game paths to quench their thirst in the dry season. Predators follow in their footsteps providing diverse and exciting game viewing. The area’s range of habitat includes riverine, savannah, forest, and plains, and offers travelers a diverse safari experience available in few other, if any, destinations. Spend time on traditional game drives, and keep your eyes peeled for the rare roan and sable antelope, plains game and of course their predators, the lion and leopard, with the endangered wild dog as an incredible bonus.
Return to the airstrip in time for a flight to the Santawani Concession. Spend the next 3 days exploring the concession on a mix of day and night game drives, nature walks, and seasonal canoe rides. Birders will be thrilled with the area’s variety of winged species. The Santawani Concession is one of the most diverse areas in northern Botswana which seldom disappoints when it comes to producing fascinating wildlife experiences. Move through the Mopane forests in search of large herds of elephants, different types of antelope, kudu, tsessebe, wildebeest and zebra. Because the waterway attracts so many animals it is a natural allure for predators as well. Keep an eye out for a lion crouching in the tall grasses, spotted hyena, wild dog, and if you are really lucky you may even see a leopard.
Fly this morning to the Jao Concession of the Okavango Delta. The reserve is comprised of both permanent water areas as well as drier savannahs, creating exciting contrasts for the traveler. Wildlife concentrations depend on the water flow and volume, thus changing from season to season, but all the large animals can be found in the area including elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo. Enjoy meals in the lofted dining room of your camp, giving you unparalleled views of the delta.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
