Nestled on the shores of Schmok Lake, just a few kilometers from the Manitoba-Nunavut border sits our Tundra Camp. This camp is set up for just a few weeks each September to allow guests an immersion into the Canadian Barren Lands.

A double, electrified, and alarmed fence encloses the compound, which contains seven cozy Arctic Oven expedition tents. Each is equipped with a heater and can comfortably accommodate up to two guests. Within the compound is a heated bathhouse with lockers, a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Meals will be served in a larger expedition tent or on the beach if the weather cooperates!

Enjoy an evening aperitif around the fire, perhaps watching the northern lights dance across the sky, before settling into your tent. You’ll sleep soundly, breathing in pure tundra air, ensconced in nature’s stillness.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
