The newly christened National Geographic Gemini joins the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic Galapagos fleet with a heritage of small-ship expedition cruising. Launched in 2001, it is a highly maneuverable, shallow-draft expedition ship purpose-built to explore remote areas with ease.
Cabin Specifications
The National Geographic Gemini accommodates 48 guests in ocean-facing cabins designed for comfort and functionality. Guests can choose from spacious suites, balcony cabins, and a variety of double, solo, and triple accommodations. Each cabin includes ample storage, configurable beds, a sofa, desk, TV, and a well-stocked mini fridge.
The ship’s Suite 601 on the Upper Deck (Category 7) is the largest suite in the Lindblad Expeditions–National Geographic Galápagos fleet, featuring a separate living room, forward-facing balcony, private jacuzzi, side balcony, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic island views.

Purpose-built for Galápagos exploration, the National Geographic Gemini is a shallow-draft, highly maneuverable expedition ship launched in 2001 and designed to access remote areas with ease. It carries a fleet of Mark VI Zodiacs, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards, as well as snorkeling equipment and shortie wetsuits for all guests, enabling in-depth exploration of both land and sea.
Outdoor spaces include the Upper Deck, which features a whirlpool hot tub, windowed fitness center, and spa, providing relaxation with ocean views. Dining is offered in single open seating at both the outdoor café on the Lounge Deck and the restaurant on the Marina Deck, encouraging a relaxed and social atmosphere.
Guests can gather in the open, windowed lounge for presentations and informal talks, or unwind at the large bar and well-stocked library located near the reception area. With its blend of comfort, exploration tools, and intimate scale, the National Geographic Gemini delivers a refined and immersive Galápagos experience year-round.
