Expedition Cruise Ship
Welcome aboard to Icebird, a groundbreaking expedition yacht offering a new way to explore Antarctica. Designed specifically for polar navigation. Purpose-built for polar conditions, this yacht is certified for operation across all oceans, including the Arctic and Antarctic. Its ice-reinforced aluminum hull includes six watertight compartments for safety. A heated, double-glazed pilothouse saloon provides panoramic views of Antarctica's dramatic landscapes as the yacht cruises through sea and ice.
On select departures aboard RMS St Helena, Icebird is available either as an optional day sail or as a multi-day extension, both at an additional cost.

Icebird features six watertight compartments and a heated, double-glazed pilothouse saloon offering all-round views of the spectacular scenery as the yacht makes way. Icebird is fully insulated and climate-controlled, with reticulated hot water radiators and air conditioning. Even the bathrooms have heated towel rails!
