The La Nouvelle Etoile barge, initially launched in 1964 and relaunched by European Waterways in 2002, carries up to eight passengers and five crew members. All four spacious 200-square-foot cabin suites on the La Nouvelle barge feature elegant décor and lavish amenities, with air-conditioning, HDTV, a plush double bed, and a seating area. Pristine en-suite bathrooms offer double sinks, lighted vanity mirrors, and oversized showers.

Saloon & Dining Room: The La Nouvelle Etoile ship features a spacious, air-conditioned saloon. A well-stocked cocktail bar, a piano, a small library, and elegant furnishings create a truly sophisticated atmosphere for guests. It extends into a polished dining area with ample seating for eight. Picture windows keep the sprawling indoor space light-filled and inviting.
Sun Deck: Also found on the boat is a large sun deck with comfortable loungers and a hot tub. Bicycles are stowed here for guests interested in pedaling along the nearby towpath.
Exercise Room: A unique feature of this ship is a well-equipped gym where guests can stay on track with their fitness goals on the La Nouvelle Etoile cruise.
There is also an elevator to give guests easy access to the two decks of the hotel barge. Internet access is provided.
