The San José was built in the Galapagos exclusively for Galapagos cruising. The San José is a very spacious yacht measuring 110 feet length and 25 feet wide. Her spacious interior allows for eight double bedded cabins with private bathrooms and great views of the ocean, as well as several sun decks, and an indoor dining and living room. The San José yacht was built to fulfill your expectations of comfort, safety and service, and her guests will enjoy it.
Accommodations
Each of the eight double-bedded cabins have private bathrooms. Cabins were build from port to starboard giving her guests incredible space with dimensions of 5.80m by 2.50m (18.8 feet by 8 feet). All of the cabins are exterior and have great views of the ocean.
With a well thought out design, the engine room is located below the living and dining room. This allows the cabins to achieve quietness, giving guests aboard the San José the opportunity to rest well for another day of adventure.
On Board the San José
The San José also offers her 16 passengers numerous options for open space areas. Two carpeted sun deck areas are equipped with comfortable reclining chairs, beach tables and benches. Here guests enjoy the navigation, the sun, the landscape of the islands, and with a little bit of luck, dolphins or whales.
The multilingual guides aboard the San José are among the top in the Galapagos Islands, trained by the Galapagos National Park Service and the Darwin Research Station. She is staffed with nine crew members who are experienced, well trained and certified by the IMO (International Marine Organization).
During daily excursions, guests aboard the San José will be provided two "zodiac" boats, each for ten persons, and life jackets for both adults and children.
Safety is of the utmost importance to the San José, and for that reason she has very sophisticated navigation equipment which has surpassed international safety regulations. With two Navigations Radars, 2 Sonar and GPS systems, all the emergency devices such as an EPIRB, Satellite signal device, emergency flares, 2 inflatable emergency rubber boats, life vests in each cabin, etc. guests can be assured the safest Galapagos journey.
