The majestic Habana Libre is one of the most emblematic hotels of Havana City. Located a few meters from the Malecon, the hotel is placed on the nerve center of La Rampa, one of the most famous corners in the Cuban capital. 

With 25 floors and 572 spacious rooms, this towering building offers a splendid view of the Caribbean. Once operated by the American Hilton Hotels group, and the revolutionary government's central headquarters in a temporary way, the Habana Libre is one of the city's most symbolic hotels.

Our country guide Guerlin and each of our local guides across the country were superlative. The instructions for obtaining visas were very clear and the pre-trip questions we asked were promptly answered. Our itinerary was well selected. The American dollar is much more acceptable to everyone in Cuba than the Cuban peso. It is unwise to change your money to pesos. Apparently, Americans are required to stay in a particular hotel when they are in Havana, Fortunately, outside of Havana one can stay in casitas or private farm based bed-and-breakfast lodgings with very delicious large dinners as well as the breakfasts.
