Nestled in at the foot of Cotopaxi Volcano, Tambopaxi offers amazing views of the snow-capped peak in Cotopaxi National Park. This ecological hotel was built at the beginning of the new millennium as a refuge for climbers to become acclimatized to the altitude before attempting the summit the volcano. The construction uses all local materials and traditional techniques to minimize the impact on the environment.

VIP Rooms
Tambopaxi has built brand new facilities in two buildings adjacent to the main hotel to cater to families and couples. The VIP House offers six different sized rooms for groups of four to ten people and relax in a specially designed glass conservatory with spectacular views of Cotopaxi.
The VIP Love House offers four cozy rooms. All rooms have wood burning stoves that maintain their heat throughout the night, king size beds with down comforters and piping hot showers.
