Day 1: Whitewater Rafting on Toachi/Blanco Rivers

Depart from Quito at 7:00 AM for the Santo Domingo area southwest of the capital, which will take us about two-and-a-half hours. Reach the put-in near the town of Santo Domingo amid the cloudforest, and after a safety briefing, navigate up to 30 kilometers of some of the best whitewater west of the Andes!

Depending on water levels, your rafting adventure should take about three to four hours. On the way, you'll encounter an abundance of bird life, and possibly spot a family of the Southern River Otter. Enjoy a delicious lunch on the river, as well as a cold drink at the end of the run. Then head back to Quito, arriving in the late afternoon.

This is a full day tour on moderate Class III+ rapids
