El Valle Lodge

El Valle Lodge sits within tropical rainforest on the Samaná peninsula, with a river running past the cabins and bungalows. The owners discovered the peninsula in 2015 while seeking a slower pace of life and an undeveloped setting to build a project focused on positive impact for the surrounding environment and local community. The property operates as an eco-lodge, with sustainable practices supporting the social and economic development of the local community. Guests can walk to nearby trails and waterfalls, take a small boat to an undeveloped beach, or spend an evening around a beach bonfire. The onsite restaurant serves dishes made with produce from its own garden and fish sourced from local fishermen.

Room Specifications
Rooms are built as freestanding cabins, bungalows, or loft apartments using local materials. Air conditioning is available in the loft units and on the ground floor of Bungalow the remaining cabins and bungalows are cooled with a ceiling fan. All rooms include mosquito netting over the bed, a private bathroom with eco-friendly or organic toiletries and bathrobes, and a no-smoking policy. Loft units observe quiet hours after 10 PM and additionally include a kitchenette with stove, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, electric kettle, and coffee maker, along with a sofa bed. Most cabins and bungalows have an outside deck or private outdoor living area. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, though connectivity may be inconsistent given the rainforest location.
