Arrive in Strasbourg and leave for a day-long excursion in the area, beginning with a guided visit of the city. A panoramic tour will show you all the highlights the city has to offer. Then, continue on foot to visit the famous single-belfry cathedral, crossing through the Petite France area lined with canals and half-timbered houses. Afterward, travel along the Alsatian Wine Route and stop at a wine cellar for a tasting. The afternoon will be spent visiting Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, where you can enjoy a guided tour plunging you into life during the Middle Ages. Once you cross over the drawbridge, you’ll find yourself in fully furnished and decorated living quarters surrounded by collections of medieval weapons. Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
