The glass igloos are located on the same property as the SnowHotel, on the shores of the Lehtojärvi Lake. There are two different sizes of glass igloo to choose from, depending whether you are travelling as a family or couple.
Glass igloo for two persons (approximately 20 square metres)
Glass igloo for four persons (approximately 33 square metres)
Each igloo is extremely well insulated to ensure guests are not bothered by the cold in even the coldest of times at night. The roof of the igloo is made from electrically heated glass, which means the glass will not cool the space; rather it maintains evenly distributed warmth while melting all the snow and ice off the roof maintaining an excellent view to the sky. In addition, the igloo has radiant floor heating.
This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
