Drive to the medieval town of Provins, also called the “City of Roses”.Visit the town of Sens to see the first great gothic cathedral that dominates the main square before disembarking in Auxerre and transferring back to Paris.

Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Guests will meet in Paris and transfer to La Nouvelle Etoile, which is moored in the heart of Paris, for a champagne welcome. In the afternoon, you will have ample time to relax as the ship cruises past Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower Tonight, enjoy your first dinner on board.
In the morning, enjoy a scenic cruise out of Paris to Melun. After lunch, you will take an excursion to Chateau of Fontainebleau. This means that you have to walk through the history of France. Every Royal Family has added its own architectural signature. Meanwhile, your barge has traveled up to Moret Sur Loing where there is time to visit this beautiful village in the late afternoon where Sisley used to paint. Dinner will be served on board.
This morning, you will cruise on the upper part of the River Seine to Monterereau where Yonne meets you. You will then continue onto Misy sur Yonne. After lunch, you will take a drive to the medieval town of Provins which is also known as the "City of Roses" and where you will watch the magnificent shown of birds of prey. Dinner will be served on board.
Enjoy a pleasant cruise along the beautiful River Yonne to the oldest town in France, the town of Sens. Visit the first great Gothic cathedral, a magnificent building that dominates the main square. Time to shop, visit the museum or stroll around the town. Dinner will be served on board.
In the morning, you will leave Sens and wind upward on the Yonne until you reach the pretty riverside town of Joigny. The beautiful narrow cobblestone streets, stretching their way up to wonderful churches perched on top of the town, takes you back to another era. From here you will take a drive out to Chablis. You select one of the small family operations for an intimate tour of their vineyards and cellar whilst the barge is cruising on to Bassou. Dinner will be served on board.
Continue cruising along the upper reaches of the River Yonne to Auxerre. This is known to be the most beautiful of all river towns whose skylines is punctuated by church spires and its streets lined with timbered 16th Century houses. You will have the time to shop and visit the old port or the 15th Century clock tower. Return to your hotel barge and enjoy the Captain's farewell dinner on board

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
