The guide for the cruise will greet and welcome you at Villa Montparnasse hotel, 2 rue Boulard, 75014 Paris by 5pm and be transferred by coach to the Noces de Jeannette restaurant, 14, rue Favart, 75002 Paris. After dinner, you will be taken back to the Villa Montparnasse hotel for the night.
After you have your breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred by coach from Villa Montparnasse to Château de Chambord. King Francis I built this extraordinary castle as a hunting lodge. It is one of the most recognizable châteaux in the world because of its very distinctive architecture blending traditional French medieval forms with classical Renaissance structures. Enjoy a tour of this majestic castle and its grounds. You will then continue on to Chenonceau, stopping for lunch in a local restaurant. Spend your afternoon visiting the Château de Chenonceau. One of the best-known and most-visited châteaux in the Loire Valley, it spans the Cher River. Its architecture is a fascinating mix of late Gothic and early Renaissance. The list of aristocrats and nobles that have lived in it is astounding: Thomas Bohier, Diane de Poitiers, and Catherine de' Medici, to name just a few.
After the visit, you will head to Nantes and arrive in the evening. The crew of the ship will welcome you on board upon your arrival. After comfortably settling into your cabins, you will be introduced to crew at a welcome cocktail. Excursion for both packages: A boat tour on the Erdre, one of the most beautiful rivers in France.
Classic: Guided tour of Nantes and the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany.
DISCOVERY: Nantes, the Machines de l'Île, secret courtyards and covered passageways.
In the afternoon, take part in the excursion for both packages:
Tour of Saint Nazaire, a town on the sea. We'll visit Escal'Atlantic, a museum that explores the historic ocean liner experience, and the Saint-Nazaire shipyard, one of the largest shipyards in Europe (this excursion must be booked in advance through your travel agency. Each passenger will be asked to produce a valid passport in order to gain access to the shipyard). Return on board in Saint-Nazaire. Enjoy an evening of dancing.

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.
