Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After you have settled into your cabins, the crew members will be introduced to you during a welcome cocktail and evening.
*Passengers will choose either the Classic or Discovery package to participate in for the duration of the voyage. Depending on the excursion, a minimum number of participants may be required for Discovery excursions and it needs to be booked at least 2 months prior to sailing.
CLASSIC: Following the trail of the Grands Crus wines of Médoc (only on pre-booking before departure), a renowned region where the world's most famous red wines are grown.
Return on board for dinner and an evening of entertainment.
Start sailing early this morning towards Blaye, whose citadel, built by Vauban, is not to be missed.

CLASSIC: Blaye and a visit to its citadel in a tourist train, plus a tasting of regional products and wine: Set off to discover the history and heritage of Blaye and its citadel. Built by Vabaun under Louis the Great, the citadel protected Bordeaux from invasions as part of the Verrou Vauban with the forts Pâté and Médoc. This three-garrison defense system is unique in France and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, we'll visit the Château Marquis de Vauban restaurant for a tasting of wine and some regional products.
DISCOVERY: Tour Blaye and its underground monuments on foot. After our tour, you'll get to taste some regional products with an excellent glass of wine*.
We'll return on board and cruise on the Gironde all the way to the estuary. Enjoy an evening of dancing.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).
