Muzimu Tented Camp (Muzimu Lodge)

Gorongosa National Park covers 4,000 sq km (1,544 sq mi) of wilderness at the end of Africa's Great Rift Valley, and Muzimu Lodge is set along the Mussicadzi River within it. The chalets are built into the riverside vegetation and linked to the main area by walkways. Stays are full board, covering all meals, local house drinks and beverages, drinking water, tea, and coffee. Chefs prepare meals largely from scratch with fresh, locally grown produce where possible, including tomatoes, spinach, pak choi, and other vegetables from the lodge's own garden.

Tents
All chalets are East African canvas tents on elevated wooden decks, each with a private entrance, an enclosed deck with river views, and an outdoor seating area. Beds are king-size or twin and fitted with mosquito screens. The chalets are cooled by ceiling fans and have no air conditioning. Each has tea and coffee making facilities, bar service, and Wi-Fi. The en-suite bathrooms have showers and high-end toiletries.

Amenities & Facilities
The main area has lounge spaces and a plunge pool, and meals are served there by the lodge's chefs. Special dietary requirements, including vegetarian meals, can be arranged on request. Spa services are available, with facials and aromatherapy treatments given by trained therapists.
