Best Western Plus Hotel Ilulissat

Best Western Plus Hotel Ilulissat opened in June 2021. It is the first and only hotel in Greenland affiliated with Best Western. The hotel is Greenlandic-owned. It was founded by the Bagger brothers of Ilulissat and Jens Salling of Qeqertarsuaq, and a local hotel manager runs it. The building uses modern architecture with a design that reflects the local environment and Greenlandic culture. Many rooms, the restaurant, and the terrace look out over Disko Bay and the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel works with Greenlandic suppliers and artists. Its restaurant takes part in the Meet the Locals initiative, which sources seasonal ingredients from local Greenlandic markets. Guests use the hotel as a base for exploring the icefjord, seeing the midnight sun, and spending time in town.

The hotel has 78 rooms across five categories, from standard rooms to two-room suites. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with Chromecast, a desk, an in-room safe, and a tea tray with a kettle, coffee, and tea. Each room has a private bathroom with a toilet, a hairdryer, and shampoo, body lotion, and soap. Extra pillows are provided. Baby cots, bathrobes, and slippers are available on request. The hotel has one restaurant, Rooftop. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner made with seasonal local ingredients, with indoor and outdoor seating that overlooks the Ilulissat Icefjord.
