Hotel Sisimiut is part of Backcountry Greenland, a local company that also runs outdoor tours in the Sisimiut area. The hotel welcomes both leisure travelers and business groups, and its rooms are furnished in a warm style with Greenlandic touches. Rooms on the upper floors look out toward Mount Nasaasaaq or across the town to the Davis Strait. Restaurant Nasaasaaq, which adjoins the hotel, is a meeting place for guests, local residents, and hikers, and its kitchen works with local ingredients such as seafood and reindeer. The hotel’s Arctic Spa is an outdoor wilderness bath and sauna where guests can watch for the northern lights in winter or sit under the midnight sun in summer. Throughout the year, the hotel also offers seasonal packages that combine accommodation, dining, and outdoor experiences.
