Located in the heart of the Golden Circle Route at only about an hour's drive from Reykjavik, this popular hotel is a destination in itself and a great base for which to explore the highlands in a self drive tour or at your own pace. The hotel was built in 2009 and consists of 6 different buildings that hold 28 rooms and 10 apartments. The restaurant has a broad a la carte menu and serves both Icelandic and international cuisine.
All rooms include a terrace with private sitting area, private bathroom, access to common area hot tubs, wifi, minibar, Flat screen TV, and in-room coffee and tea.
Superior Rooms: 24 sq m with bathtub/shower setup.
Junior Suites: 40 sq m, offer bathtub and shower.
Suites: 56 sq m and they have a private terrace with private hot tub as well.
Two Bedroom Apartment: 56 sqm, sleeps up to four people with private bathroom with shower only. A living room and kitchenette are also included.
Deluxe Apartments- 4 bedroom: 200 sqm private bathroom with shower and bathtub, guest bathroom, large living room and dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. A private patio with hot tub and Barbecue grill is also included. Occupancy in these is for 4-7 guests.
Deluxe Apartment - 5 bedrooms. This unit is identical to the 4 bedroom ones with the exception of no kitchenette and the addition of a fireplace. The bedding occupancy is suitable for 6-11 guests.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
