The hotel is designed to offer the traveler a home-like atmosphere. Exposed metal pipes and electric switches and wires on the walls and we use metal and glass walls and doors. This design is called industrial design. The large lounge is just outside of your room. You just step outside and there you are with other hotel guests. If you feel like going outside, surrounded by snow and winter, being in our hot tub underneath the stars and the northern lights, or during the light summer nights, watching the midnight sun, is a reason enough to visit the hotel.

A set dinner
Set dinner or “the chef’s catch of the day” as it is known, is a three-course dinner that always includes a starter, main dish, and dessert. The dinner is served every day, all year round from 7.30 pm to 9 pm.
We offer traditional Icelandic cuisine and our family´s culinary traditions of farm-to-table products. Diners can be seated so they can enjoy a panoramic view of South Iceland.

Lounge & Bar
Our lounge is cozy and relaxing and you can enjoy coffee, tea, and drinks from the bar.
The bar is open every day from 08.00 to 24.00. The lounge is open 24/7.
Thermal baths
All guests have access to our thermal bath which includes a pool with warm geothermal water and a sauna. A visit to Iceland isn’t complete without a dip in one of the thermal pools.
Our hot tub is a geothermal pool with water that comes from 300 meters beneath the surface. It comes up through the lava, which means that it’s collecting all the minerals. We are trying to imitate natural baths, so don’t expect facilities with marble walls and floors. With a temperature of around 36-40 degrees Celcius (96 to 104 Fahrenheit), our thermal pool is about 8 x 4 meters in size and 1,2 meters deep.
The warm water flows through the pool constantly, which ensures that the current always keeps the pool clean. However, make sure you wash thoroughly – in your room – before heading to our pool. Sand can be seen on the bottom which comes with the water, and stairs and benches can sometimes turn a green color, due to the algae that grow in hot water. But it´s all-natural dirt. Due to the richness of the minerals in the water, bathing is said to have therapeutic and healing benefits.

My tour operator was helpful. Unfortunately she was unable to get my single-supplement canceled. Not too many tours charge for that anymore and I almost canceled my trip because of that.

Adventure Life went above and beyond to care for all our travel needs!!! From the flights, to the accommodations, the tours, the tour guides, the transfers, the scheduling, everything was top notch and our minds were blown away!! It was so nice to be able to travel to another country that we’d never been to before and have every detail laid out for us!! No stress, no searching where to go, what to do, fighting with tourist crowds, getting rental cars, etc…..,it was all done for us, very organized and worth every penny!! We will definitely use Adventure Life for our future travel plans!!! A+++
