Midgard Base Camp

Midgard Base Camp is a recently opened upscale hostel in Hvolsvollur in South Iceland. Enjoy close access to some of South Iceland's most popular treasures from this location, such as Skaftafell Park, Thorsmork, Eyjafjallajökul and many glaciers along the South coast. The popular Seljalandsfoss is even viewable from the Midgard hot tubs on a clear day.

The hostel is your home away from home when you are exploring South Iceland. Choose from a variety of sleeping accommodations based on your preference and price point. Choose also comfortable bunk room which sleeps 6, or opt for one of the few private rooms with shared or private bathroom facilities.  A total of 48 beds are available in all, and basic amenities are included such as wifi, lockers, and bed linens. 

Spend the evening enjoying dinner in the cozy restaurant and chatting with travelers and locals alike.  The restaurant seats 75 and is open all day until late evening serving buffet style meals, hot and cold beverages and fully equipped bar.
