Located in the Civetta group, above the town of Alleghe in the Veneto region, Rifugio Coldai is most commonly reached by hiking from the Palafavera car park or via the ski lifts from Alleghe (summer only). It also serves as a strategic stop on the Alta Via 1 long-distance trail.

Rifugio Coldai is a beloved alpine hut perched near the scenic Lago Coldai, at an elevation of approximately 2,132 meters. Overlooking the dramatic north face of Monte Civetta, it offers sweeping views, hearty mountain meals, and a true refuge experience for hikers, climbers, and Alta Via 1 trekkers. Rustic yet welcoming, this rifugio is a classic overnight stop for those exploring the Civetta range and one of the most photogenic areas in the Dolomites.
