Day 1: Arrive in Venice | Armentarola, Italy

Arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport, pick up your rental car, and drive toward your accommodation in the Dolomites. Spend the rest of the day at your own pace, rest after the journey, explore the area, or settle in and take in the mountain scenery.

Day 2: Altopiano della Badia

Explore the open landscapes of the Alta Badia, where trails cross alpine meadows and wide panoramic viewpoints. Choose between easy walks or longer hikes and move at your own pace with the Dolomites constantly in view.

Along the route, stop at mountain huts for a break, a meal, or just time to enjoy the alpine setting. The area offers flexible hiking options suitable for both relaxed walkers and more active hikers.

  • Elevation gain: up to 300 m (984 ft) 
  • Duration: 2–3 hours
  • Terrain: stable, well-marked, no exposure
Medium Hike
  • Distance: 4–7 km (2.48–4.34 miles)
  • Elevation gain: 300–500 m (984–1,640 ft)
  • Duration: 3–4 hours
  • Terrain: some steeper or uneven sections, but no significant exposure

Day 3: Passo Falzarego

Head to Passo Falzarego, an area known for its World War I history and mountain tunnels carved into the rock. Spend time exploring the trails and wartime surroundings before taking the cable car up to Rifugio Lagazuoi.

From the top, take in wide views across the Dolomites and stop for lunch at a mountain hut along the way (pay locally). Today focuses on an easy hike around Passo Falzarego, with plenty of time to enjoy the alpine scenery.

Day 4: Cinque Torri

After breakfast, take a cable car into the dramatic landscape of Cinque Torri, where the famous rock towers rise above alpine meadows and mountain trails. Hike through open landscapes, rocky paths, and viewpoints with constant views of the surrounding Dolomites.

Along the route, pass old World War I trenches and military positions that remain in the area, adding a strong historical layer to the hike. Spend the day on the trails with your private hiking guide, with routes ranging from easy sections to more challenging terrain depending on the pace and conditions.

Day 5: Rifugio Massimo di Bona

Start your hike from Rifugio Angelo Dibona in the heart of the Dolomites. Follow trails that cut through alpine terrain, with jagged peaks, quiet valleys, and wide mountain views along the way.

Walk easy routes around Rifugio Massimo di Bona with a private hiking guide. Take in the area's geology, local flora, and shifting mountain light as you move through a calm alpine setting shaped by nature and history.

Head toward Santa Croce Church, set below the cliffs of Sas dla Crusc. The small mountain sanctuary sits in one of the most scenic corners of Alta Badia, surrounded by quiet alpine landscapes and dramatic peaks.

From the church, follow trails across the Armentara Meadows, known for open pastures, seasonal wildflowers, and wide views of the Dolomites. Enjoy a relaxed day in the mountains with your private hiking guide while hiking at an easy to moderate pace.
