Day 1: Arrive in Venice | Armentarola, Italy

After picking up your rental car at Venice Marco Polo Airport, head to your Dolomites hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at your own speed, relax after the ride, go exploring, or just relax and enjoy the view of the mountains.

Day 2: Altopiano della Badia

Discover the Alta Badia's expansive vistas, where trails wind through alpine meadows and expansive vistas. With the Dolomites always in view, choose between short walks and more strenuous hikes and go at your own speed.

Stop at mountain huts along the way for a meal, a rest, or just some time to take in the alpine scenery. Both leisurely walkers and more strenuous hikers can enjoy the area's varied hiking options.

  • Elevation gain: up to 300 m (984 ft) 
  • Duration: 2–3 hours
  • Terrain: stable, well-marked, no exposure
Medium Hike
  • Distance: 4–7 km (2.48–4.34 miles)
  • Elevation gain: 300–500 m (984–1,640 ft)
  • Duration: 3–4 hours
  • Terrain: some steeper or uneven sections, but no significant exposure

Day 3: Passo Falzarego

Visit Passo Falzarego, a region renowned for its involvement in World War I and its rock-carved mountain tunnels. Before riding the cable car up to Rifugio Lagazuoi, spend some time exploring the trails and the wartime surroundings.

Enjoy expansive views of the Dolomites from the summit, and stop along the way for lunch at a mountain hut (pay locally). There will be plenty of time to take in the alpine scenery during today's leisurely hike around Passo Falzarego.

Day 4: Cinque Torri

Take a cable car ride into Cinque Torri's breathtaking scenery after breakfast, where the well-known rock towers tower over mountain paths and alpine meadows. Walk along rocky paths, open spaces, and vantage points where you can always see the surrounding Dolomites.

The hike has a strong historical component, passing abandoned World War I trenches and military outposts. With your personal hiking guide, spend the day on the trails. Depending on the pace and conditions, the routes can range from easy sections to more difficult terrain.

Day 5: Rifugio Massimo di Bona

In the center of the Dolomites, begin your trek at Rifugio Angelo Dibona. Trails that wind through alpine terrain offer expansive views of the mountains, peaceful valleys, and jagged peaks.

Take short walks with a personal hiking guide around Rifugio Massimo di Bona. Travel through a serene alpine environment sculpted by nature and history; take in the region's geology, native flora, and changing mountain light.

Day 6: Puez Odle Natural Park

Depending on your speed, follow trails on easy, moderate, or more difficult routes with a private guide. Take frequent breaks to enjoy expansive views of the Dolomites, where the experience is defined by shifting light and open horizons.

Day 7: Crist de Armentara

Proceed to Santa Croce Church, which is situated beneath the Sas dla Crusc cliffs. Surrounded by serene alpine scenery and striking peaks, the small mountain sanctuary is located in one of Alta Badia's most picturesque areas.

Trails through the Armentara Meadows, which are renowned for their open pastures, seasonal wildflowers, and expansive views of the Dolomites, can be followed from the church. Hiking at an easy to moderate pace, spend a leisurely day in the mountains with your personal hiking guide.
