Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo

Welcome to Tokyo! Upon your arrival at the airport, meet your driver in the arrivals lobby, who will escort you to your hotel.

In the evening, participate in a thrilling foodie tour that takes you on an izakaya-hopping adventure with an expert guide. You can modify the tour to fit your dietary needs and preferences. For instance, in Gotanda, a hidden gem often overlooked by tourists. Savor the offerings at two authentic local izakayas and a gyoza bar. The night concludes with an entertaining karaoke session.

Immerse yourself in Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife and savor the city’s culinary delights!

Day 2: Old Tokyo: Ueno | Ginza | Asakusa | Tokyo Skytree

Today, meet your guide in the hotel lobby and set off by public transport to explore Tokyo. Start at Ueno Ameyoko, a bustling market street with a post-war history. Once a black market, it thrives as a local hub for fresh produce, street food, and daily essentials.

Next, head to Yanaka Ginza, a district that preserves the feel of Tokyo’s old town. Walk its streets lined with family-run shops and traditional workshops, showcasing local craftsmanship and tight-knit community life. Continue to Asakusa and visit Sensoji, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple. Walk down Nakamise Street, a historic path lined with vendors selling traditional snacks and crafts, serving temple visitors for centuries.

End the day at Tokyo Skytree, Japan’s tallest tower at 634 meters. Head to the observation deck for panoramic city views, capturing Tokyo’s striking blend of tradition and modern life.

Day 3: Tokyo Highlights: Meiji Jingu Shrine | Harajuku | Shibuya

Meet your guide and start the day at Meiji Jingu Shrine, one of Tokyo’s most important shrines, set in a peaceful forest retreat honoring the late Emperor. Walk to Harajuku, a district bursting with youth culture and eclectic style. For lunch, consider stopping at Sakuratei and cooking your okonomiyaki, a savory Japanese pancake.

After lunch, join a taiko drumming class and learn the basics of this traditional art. Walk through upscale Omotesando and end the session with a professional performance. Finish the day in Shibuya at the iconic Scramble Crossing, a bold symbol of Tokyo’s energy.

Day 4: Tsukiji Market | Hamarikyu Garden | Akihabara

Today is another day of fully guided highlights within the city. Start the day at Tsukiji Outer Market. Sample fresh seafood, local snacks, and seasonal treats while exploring its lively stalls. Walk to Hamarikyu Garden, a peaceful Edo-period retreat surrounded by the city skyline. Stroll past ponds and gardens, taking in the calm and serenity here, an oasis from the bustling city.

In the afternoon, try your hand at an origami workshop and learn to fold traditional, intricate designs from simple paper. End the day in Akihabara, Tokyo’s electric town. Explore electronics shops, anime stores, arcades, and themed cafes in this pop culture hotspot.

Day 5: Return Home
