The Dana Biosphere Reserve, the crown jewel of Jordan's protected lands, borders Feynan on its southwest side. The reserve, which spans four biogeographic zones, is home to a wide variety of wildlife and beautiful landscapes. It is also one of Jordan's reserves that is under the greatest threat.

The 26 en suite rooms in the solar-powered lodge feature distinctive arabesque designs and are illuminated by candles and stars at night.
