Then drive to Jebel Webdeh, the arts and cultural district passing art galleries and seeing local antiquities and handcraft shops. Stopping at local restaurants to sample falafel, hummus, and the Arab delicacy, Kenafah, eaten at times of celebration. Continue through the streets and markets, visiting the Husseini mosque. In the evening, you will have a cooking experience at Beit Sitti (which Means: House of my grandmother), learn how to cook Arabic food, and enjoy your creation.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from Amman and drive north to Jerash, one of the most preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East. After enjoying the ruins and souk at Jerash, proceed to Ajloun and visit the castle, which dominates the Ajloun skyline. Then head south to Kerak, the ancient crusader castle in Karak, and explore the maze of stone-vaulted halls and passageways. Karak was the capital of Moab, and the castle dominated the skyline. Hike the 800+ steep steps that lead to the "Monastery and Ad Deir." It is one of the largest monuments in Petra, measuring 47 m wide by 48.3 m high. It was built on the model of the Khazna, but here the bas-reliefs are replaced by niches to house sculptures. There is also a Bedouin café for refreshments if you would like.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
