Fly to Nairobi, the Green City in the Sun. Your travel consultant will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a short program briefing and bring you to Karen Gables, a Dutch-style private residence nestled peacefully on its own green grounds, where you will spend the night.
You will be taken to Wilson Airport for your journey to Nanyuki after breakfast and check-out. You will be greeted by your own private 4WD vehicle and driver guide when you arrive. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy entrance is about 30 minutes away from here. The camp, positioned on a 22,000-acre rhino sanctuary in The Ol Pejeta Game Ranch, gives a magnificent start to your safari for you and your family.
Arrive at camp in time for lunch after a game drive. This will be served in your own cottage, complete with your own crew and cook. The schedule is completely flexible. As the afternoon draws near, set out to appreciate the surrounding animals in this lovely reserve. You will return your camp before it gets dark.
Spend the night at Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages, which are tucked away along a lush riverbank among the towering yellow barked acacia trees in wilderness.
Start the next day with an amazing game viewing experience across the conservancy. A game drive is an excursion that involves watching wildlife from the comfort of a 4x4 safari vehicle that seats 4 to 6 people. With the highest wildlife-to-area ratio of any Kenyan National Park, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is ideal for intimate game viewing.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading to the nearest airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara, where you'll find the Mara North Conservancy, which protects and preserves the wilderness, flora, and fauna of the northwestern zone of a globally significant ecosystem that is shared with the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Once you reach the Mara North airstrip, the camp's driving guide will greet you and take you on a wildlife drive en route. You will be given an overview of how the camp operates and what to anticipate when you arrive. You will be shown to your tents after checking in. Following a light lunch, you can go on your first Mara game. Everywhere you will see a picture postcard of flawless Africa – golden savannahs, perfect acacia trees dotting the horizon, and lots of big cats. Lion and leopard sightings are common, as are masses of other wildlife. Come back to the campsite for meals and refreshments, and take the chance to rest and immerse yourself in the African wilderness.
Your next two days will be spent exploring the Masai Mara in search of wildlife and other natural wonders. Your expert guide will do their best to ensure all must-sees are spotted and captured on camera! And you will spend the next three nights in Karen Blixen Camp, an eco-friendly luxury camp that gives a sense of the exciting explorer days when the savannah was seldom visited and elaborate and comfortable camps were set up, providing a luxurious and stylish retreat after each day’s adventure.
