Palissandre Hotel & Spa

Palissandre Antananarivo opened in 1998 on the heights of Madagascar’s capital. It is one of two hotels in the Palissandre collection, which was renamed under a single brand in 2023. The hotel sits between the Analakely and Andohalo districts and receives both business and leisure travelers. A panoramic terrace looks out over the city and the surrounding hills. Depending on orientation, rooms face either the capital’s skyline or the older historic quarters. The interiors draw on Malagasy culture, with palissandre wood floors and pieces by local craftspeople. The hotel’s approach centers on Malagasy hospitality, regional cuisine, and a quiet base for exploring the capital and the highlands around it.

Rooms & Suites
The hotel has five room categories, from standard rooms to suites and an apartment. Every room has air conditioning, satellite TV, a minibar, an in-room safe, a work desk and Wi-Fi. Rooms have palissandre wood flooring and furnishings by local craftspeople. Views vary by orientation, looking over the city, the garden or the historic quarters. Some categories have a balcony. Bathrooms have a bathtub, a shower or both, depending on the room type.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
The hotel has one restaurant and one bar. La Table des Hautes Terres serves breakfast and dinner, pairing international cooking techniques with fresh local produce and regional spices. L’Amphore is the hotel bar and serves signature cocktails and a selection of drinks. The heated pool has a solarium with loungers that look out over the city. The spa offers a hammam, massages and body treatments. The fitness room is open to guests, and a personal coach can be booked for sessions in cardio, weight training, yoga or stretching. A 70 sq m (753 sq ft) meeting room seats about 30 participants, with breaks served on the terrace.
