Le Soleil des Tsingy

Le Soleil des Tsingy sits in a forest above Bekopaka, with views over the canopy and the Manambolo River. The builders kept the existing trees and replanted about 5,000 trees and shrubs on the grounds. The lodge operates in the dry season, from May to November, when the access track to the national park is passable. Solar panels heat the water, five wells supply the bungalows, and electricity runs 24 hours a day even though Bekopaka has no public power network. The lodge says it is committed to environmental respect, sustainable energy, and local and organic products. Separate lodging is available for guests’ drivers and guides.

Rooms & Suites
The lodge has bungalows. Each one is about 55 sq m (592 sq ft) and has a furnished private terrace, a private garden, and large windows in the bedroom and bathroom that face the forest canopy. Every bungalow has a king bed in precious wood with a mosquito net, a sofa that converts to a single bed, a desk, bedside lamps, and a wardrobe with an in-room safe. Bathrooms have slate floors and walls, a walk-in shower, a stone basin on a wooden vanity, and a separate toilet.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
The lodge has one restaurant with a bar area. It sits in a 400 sq m (4,304 sq ft) dining room that opens onto the canopy and seats about 100 guests. It is surrounded by a deck and sun terrace of about 500 sq m (5,380 sq ft) with loungers and parasols. Other facilities include a children’s play area, a leisure room and a hotel shop. The lodge also offers laundry service, with items returned washed and ironed, and a security team on site day and night.
