Take a trip to Sainte-Marie Island, a tropical haven off the east coast of Madagascar that has long been a popular spot for scuba divers and snorkelers. Stay at the exquisite Princesse Bora Lodge and Spa for five days to unwind in a secluded corner of paradise far from the crowds. Located south of Sainte Marie, the "Ile aux Nattes" beach is a world-class destination. Discover what it's like to snorkel in the crystal-clear seas of Cocobay, home to thousands of coconut trees and a stunning black granite beach. While you're here, meet the hospitable Malagasy people.
Arrive in Sainte Marie and be welcomed by the hotel staff at Ste Marie airport. Sainte Marie is a quiet and peaceful place, a natural white sand beach with coconut palms. A hidden paradise in the Indian Ocean.
Discover Sainte-Marie by quad, 4×4, or by motorbike. Explore the most beautiful landscapes of Sainte-Marie during a day of adventure. With a guide, reach small villages, forests, wild beaches, mangroves, rice fields, and so much more. Learn everything about vanilla, cinnamon, clove, orchids, and the Malagasy way of life.
Visit "Ile aux Nattes" at the very south of Ste Marie. Drive around 5 minutes from the hotel, then take a canoe across the lagoon to the other side of the island. The tour of the island on foot along the beach is enchanting. Take your lunch on the beach and enjoy the afternoon at leisure before coming back to your hotel.
Today, leave the lodge by boat to spend a timeless day at Cocobay, a property of Princesse Bora Lodge and Spa, in the north of Sainte-Marie in Madagascar. Black granite rocks gently rest in crystalline waters, surrounded by thousands of coconut trees. This combination gives the place a breathtaking atmosphere. Enjoy water activities such as snorkeling, fish barbecues beneath the trees, and strolling around and soaking in the gorgeous views.
Day 5: Return Home
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
