Mvuu Lodge

Mvuu Lodge is set among fever trees on the banks of the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, overlooking Namagogodo Lagoon. The lodge is operated by Central African Wilderness Safaris, established in 1987, in partnership with African Parks, which manages the park with the aim of supporting both people and wildlife. Its location deep inside the park means there is very little light pollution at night. The company is involved in the local community through Nanthomba School, just outside the park, which was started by Mvuu Camp guides and hosts Children in the Wilderness lessons. The lodge also accepts volunteers.

Rooms & Suites
Mvuu Lodge has suites with private plunge pools and tented chalets with private viewing decks. All rooms have fans and an outdoor shower. Wi-Fi is provided.

Hotel Amenities & Facilities
Meals are served on two wooden dining decks, one at ground level and one raised among the trees, both overlooking the lagoon and the Shire River. Evening meals and fireside gatherings take place in an open-air boma, and there is a lounge facing the lagoon where hippos can be seen. A swimming pool with sunbeds is reached by a wooden walkway over the lagoon, and a yoga deck built from local materials is available to guests.
