Located a 13-minute drive from the center of Fez and 4 km from the train station, Dar Roumana has a semi-covered terrace offering panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and the medina of Fez.
The Dar Roumana was built by the Arfaouis, a family of olive oil merchants, in the late 1800s. Dar Roumana is a warm environment with the relaxed elegance of a traditional Fassi home, framed by lush olive groves and ancient medina walls. The property was known as Dar Arfaoui until restoration began in 2002. Relax with a cocktail on the sun-drenched roof terrace with spectacular views over the entire medina, cuddle up next to the fire with a book and a glass of wine, or hide away in your spacious room and drink in the timeless craftsmanship of Moroccan artisans.
The Dar Roumana has a terrace, a living room with a library, a computer room, and a TV room equipped with a DVD player. Featuring Moroccan decor, all of the hotel's suites have a seating area, high ceilings, and mosaic tiling. All rooms feature the craftsmanship of generations of Fassi artisans, with a few modern touches discreetly added. All 5-suites feature 100% cotton bedding and feather duvets (hypoallergenic available upon request), air conditioning (except the Roumana suite), a personal safe, and a private bath complete with thick fluffy towels and cotton bathrobes, a hairdryer, and luxurious organic toiletries.
