Moderately active but not overly strenuous. This level includes activities like casual cycling, yoga, or excursions/activities that typically last 3-5 hours total each day.
Your arrival at Casablanca Airport is followed by a private transfer north to the coastal town of Asilah. The route leads into a quiet seaside destination known for white-washed walls, street art, and a relaxed medina atmosphere. The town offers easy walks through narrow lanes, local galleries, and ocean viewpoints. In the evening, the ramparts provide a popular spot to watch the sunset over the Atlantic.
Check-in to your comfortable riad inside the medina. After settling in, the rest of the day is free for exploring the medina, viewing murals that define Asilah’s artistic character, or roaming nearby cafes, markets, and beachfront paths.
After breakfast at the riad, depart north to visit the Caves of Hercules, a legendary site overlooking the Atlantic. Explore the natural rock formations and see the cave entrance shaped like the continent of Africa, a historic spot linked to the Phoenicians, who mined the cave for millstones.
Continue inland to Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl of Morocco, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, check in at your traditional riad before joining a short orientation walk through the city’s blue-painted alleys, local markets, and artisan shops. The evening is open for exploring Chefchaouen independently, sampling local flavors, and relaxing at your comfortable riad.
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and drive toward Fes, Morocco’s first imperial city. Stop at the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis, an ancient Amazigh settlement later expanded by Romans. Explore mosaics, arches, and historic streets on a guided tour. Continue to Meknes, the lesser-known imperial city, visiting Bab Mansour gate, Sultan Moulay Ismail’s tomb, Agdal Reservoir, and Heri es-Souani granaries. After sightseeing, transfer to Fes and check in to your riad with the evening free to explore the medina.
Note: As of January 2026, Many of the monuments in Meknes are undergoing extensive restoration and are closed for the foreseeable future. You may choose to skip this stop and plan more time in Chefchaouen or Fes, if you wish. Discuss options with your trip planner.
After breakfast, meet your local guide at your riad for a full-day exploration of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital. Begin with a drive to the Royal Palace, then walk through the old Mellah (Jewish Quarter) to observe its unique architecture and heritage sites. Climb a city tower (Borj) for panoramic views of the expansive Fes medina, the largest pedestrian-only old city in the world. Visit a mosaic house to watch Fassi artisans demonstrate traditional pottery techniques. Continue on a guided walking tour through the medina’s historic streets, artisan quarters, tanneries, and key monuments, including the tomb of Idriss II and Al-Qarawaiyin University. The afternoon is open for independent exploration of the city, perhaps try a relaxing hammam (traditional public bathhouse) or sample local delicacies.
After breakfast, depart Fes and drive to Rabat, Morocco’s modern capital. Check in at your riad before meeting your local guide for a tour of the city. Explore key landmarks including the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohamed V, and Kasbah of the Udayas. The afternoon is free for independent exploration or relaxation at the riad.
