Seavey's IdidaRide invites you to experience authentic Alaska through the legacy of the legendary Seavey family, home of three-time Iditarod Champion Mitch Seavey. The Seavey family arrives in Alaska four years after statehood and settles on the Seward homestead following the Great Alaska Earthquake. Since 1963, the family becomes the preeminent name in dog mushing, earning eight Iditarod championships while Mitch Seavey sets the Iditarod speed record by completing the 1,049-mile race in 8 days, 3 hours, 40 minutes, and 13 seconds.

Since 1993, Seavey's IdidaRide welcomes you to the family homestead during the off-season, offering summer dog sled rides and kennel tours that keep the champion sled dogs active while introducing visitors to Alaska's rich mushing tradition. Every visit allows you to meet accomplished sled dogs, cuddle energetic husky puppies, and experience the passion, dedication, and teamwork that define championship dog sledding.
