Story
Since 2009, Asisten Travel has led the Madagascar luxury travel industry, serving outbound tour operators seeking private tours, luxury holidays, and VVIP travel arrangements for their clients. As a proudly “100% Malagasy” business, Asisten Travel remains solely owned and operated by Madagascar nationals, offering authentic local expertise and an unmatched understanding of the destination.
The story begins in the early 1990s when Haja Rasambainarivo and Njaka Ramandimbiarison first met on the benches of a secondary school in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Driven by a shared passion for travel and the development of their home country, both founders envisioned creating exceptional travel experiences that showcase the very best of Madagascar.
In 2007, following a 4×4 expedition along Madagascar’s west coast, the idea of establishing a tour company took shape. That vision evolved into Asisten Travel, a company dedicated to delivering exceptional journeys while highlighting the richness, beauty, and diversity of the island.

Asisten Travel is a full-service Destination Management Company (DMC) specializing in the design and organization of luxury tailor-made holidays and tours throughout Madagascar.
The mission is to provide, in a sustainable and responsible way, very high-quality tourism experiences that allow you to discover Madagascar through carefully crafted journeys, authentic encounters, and exceptional service.
Vision
To be the leading luxury Destination Management Company in Madagascar, recognized for delivering outstanding tailor-made travel experiences while promoting sustainable tourism, supporting local communities, and showcasing the unique natural and cultural heritage of Madagascar to the world.
The percentage allocated to the sector of education in the national budget has decreased from 19.7% in 2009 to 16.0% in 2012. UNICEF estimates that 1.5 million children are now out school, about 1 in 4 children.
Asisten Travel is partnering with VONY, a small local and dynamic non-profit organization which aim is to give the will and opportunity to children to not drop out of school.
In 2014, VONY did support to 450 kids in two schools in Manjaka (a suburb of Antananarivo ) and Morondava. Support was given under the form of distribution of school kits, extra curriculum activities and renovation work of the schools.
Asisten Travel is committed to donate 10 USD per trip booked by our customers to VONY. You can also provide extra support by donating school kits or purchasing postcards designed by the kids from Manjaka.
