Founded in 2005, Tanzania Journeys is an ethical, full-service destination management and adventure travel company based in Moshi, Tanzania, at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The company specializes in tailor-made mid-range and luxury safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru climbs, northern circuit expeditions, eco-friendly trekking, and off-the-beaten-track cultural and cycling adventures. Under the ownership and supervision of Seema, Tanzania Journeys combines local expertise with personalized service to create meaningful and memorable travel experiences.

As a proud member of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP), Tanzania Journeys supports the continuous monitoring of mountain crew working conditions. Tanzania Journeys is one of the few operators that guarantees every crew member receives three meals a day, proper clothing, safe sleeping conditions, and government-regulated salaries. Every climb receives independent ethical certification, giving confidence that every Kilimanjaro adventure follows responsible practices. Tanzania Journeys also maintains a socially and environmentally sustainable supply chain and workforce.

Tanzania Journeys invests in employee development by working with highly trained and experienced guides. Safari guides graduate from guiding schools in Moshi or Arusha, with most bringing nearly a decade of experience. Head Guide Rama serves as a first aid trainer and trained English teacher, while the guiding team offers services in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German, with Russian- and Japanese-speaking guides available when required. On Kilimanjaro, top mountain guides hold Wilderness First Responder certification and guiding licenses issued by Kilimanjaro National Park, ensuring safe and professional experiences.

Tanzania Journeys also strengthens local communities through meaningful partnerships and long-term support. Cultural tourism experiences include visits to projects that benefit communities in Mto Wa Mbu, Engaruka, Monduli Juu, and Marangu. In Engaresero Village near Lake Natron, Tanzania Journeys supplies a water pipeline to the local clinic and funds the village school. Ongoing initiatives include building a classroom in a Kilimanjaro village near Mwerka and constructing a doctor's house in Naiti Village near Makayuni. For more than a decade, Tanzania Journeys has remained one of the largest supporters of Kahawa Shamba in Uru Village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, helping create lasting benefits for local residents.
