Social Responsibility
Lima Tours supports the recovery and preservation of Peru's cultural heritage through the Gonzalo de Reparaz Archive (AGR). This valuable collection preserves the work of geographer and photographer Gonzalo de Reparaz Ruiz, who dedicated more than thirty years to documenting Peru's geography, archaeology, and culture. The archive includes approximately 20,000 photographic images and around 4,000 manuscripts, providing an important source of knowledge while safeguarding Peru's historical legacy for future generations.
Sustainability Projects
Rediscovering the Inca Trails – The Great Inca Road
Lima Tours supports the exploration of the Qhapaq Ñan, the longest Inca road network, through a project that revitalizes the historic Inca Trail. The expedition covers 3,200 kilometers from Tomebamba, Ecuador, to Cusco, Peru, allowing tourism professionals, private organizations, and explorers to study the route while highlighting its cultural significance. You help preserve Peru's historical legacy by supporting the development of new tourist routes that follow sustainable and responsible tourism principles.
The project works closely with rural communities along the route, sharing best practices for tourism development and integrating local communities into future travel experiences. It also raises international awareness of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and develops practical knowledge for creating sustainable tourism circuits along sections of the Qhapaq Ñan.
Lima Tours Foundation
The Lima Tours Foundation demonstrates Lima Tours' long-term commitment to Peru by promoting sustainable and innovative initiatives focused on education, community development, quality of life, and public health. You support projects that strengthen culture, education, and equal opportunities while encouraging inclusive and self-sustaining development in communities with tourism potential.
The foundation also promotes responsible participation among local, national, and international stakeholders while creating enriching encounters between Peruvians and international visitors for mutual benefit. You can contribute by supporting foundation projects through donations, purchasing educational publications that directly fund community initiatives, or helping raise awareness of the foundation's work.
Wallata Plan
Lima Tours partners with the Ollantaytambo community through the Wallata Plan, a project that makes tourism the foundation of inclusive development, sustainable prosperity, and stronger cultural identity. The initiative aims to build the long-term sustainability of Ollantaytambo through shared responsibility among community members, public institutions, and private organizations.
The Wallata Plan promotes sustainable urban and territorial development while preserving cultural heritage, positions Ollantaytambo as a living Inca city offering authentic experiences, strengthens local economic development through tourism, and encourages collaboration through innovative management models that benefit both the community and visitors.
