Vision
They want to be recognized by their clients for delivering a remote, innovative, and sustainable nature tourism and lodging proposal.
They want their businesses to be recognized for being made on a human scale, by hand, where the connection with nature and between people is a founding principle. They will achieve this by developing profitable businesses that generate value for their entire network of collaborators, partners, and the local community, generating wealth and protecting our environment at the same time.
Values
Passion for Nature:
They advocate that nature, in its purest form, holds the power to transform individuals, bringing them closer to their fundamental human qualities. Active engagement with nature enhances life experiences, prompting them to impart their knowledge on nature preservation to enable others to cherish it similarly over time.
Proud to be Hosts:
They endeavor to enhance accessibility to remote natural landscapes and ensure comfort in adverse climates and terrains. Their approach to assisting clients mirrors that of trusted friends, guiding them through their journey preparations and providing advice for an enriching travel experience.
Live Consciously:
Recognizing their transient presence in this world, they strive to ensure their actions have a positive impact on the environment, setting an example of sustainability excellence. Their aim is for each passenger to understand how to minimize environmental impact in natural areas and carry this awareness forward.
Relaxedly Rigorous:
Passionate about their work, they approach tasks with enjoyment and dedication, striving to exceed both client and collaborator expectations. They demonstrate the same level of care for their work and others' as they do for nature.
Disciplinedly Creative:

FAQs
Why should I travel with Cascada Expediciones?
They are a locally-owned and operated company that has been in the business since 1991. Extensive experience leading soft-adventure expeditions is part of the reason why they are a two-time winner of National Geographic’s Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth. Passionate travelers and work hard to ensure that they provide quality experiences out in nature. Nature is at the core of who they are and they protect it, meaning that they only work with other like-minded businesses and they proudly offset all their carbon emissions through Carbon Fund.
What are the meals like? Are they able to cater for special diets?
They consider meals to be an essential ingredient of a successful trip. Each trip will have its own menu depending on the typical dishes of the area, and on many trips meals are enjoyed in local restaurants to give you the chance to try a wide array of local cuisine. It's important that you inform them of any dietary restrictions, allergies, special requirements, etc so they can inform local providers to give you the best possible option.
How fit do I have to be?
It depends on the type of trip you want to take. To give you an indication of the difficulty of trips, they have sorted them into five categories. Some trips are classified as strenuous and should only be undertaken by those with plenty of experience and a high level of fitness. However, the vast majority of our tours are well within the capability of any healthy individual leading a normal, active life. Our “Nature Tours” - usually classified as 1 or 2 - need very little physical effort and can be undertaken by almost anyone. On many tours, an open mind and a love of new places is more important than a high level of physical fitness.
Difficulty Levels Explanation: When you select a trip, it's important to know if it’s a good match for your fitness level. Their scale is from an easy (1) to a strenuous (5). Every trip has an associated difficulty rating which you need to consider before booking the trip so you'll get maximum enjoyment out of the experience. You want to make sure the pace of walking, cycling, hiking, paddling or riding you'll be doing is well-suited to you and your group’s level of fitness. Our trips are rated according to a number of factors like the level of required fitness, altitude, type of terrain and level of specialist skills (like climbing or rafting experience etc.). On the majority of trips, porters, pack animals or support vehicles carry all the gear. All you ever carry is a light daypack for the most part.
The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! Thanks Jamie- you are amazing!!!!

The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
