Supporting Conservation and Communities

Island Expeditions partners with the Belize Audubon Society, an organization that has served as an environmental steward in Belize for more than 40 years. Visits to destinations such as the Lighthouse Reef Marine Reserve help support park operations and contribute to the annual funding of the ranger station that protects this remote marine reserve.

Every visit to the Belize Zoo & Tropical Education Center supports wildlife conservation and environmental education. The zoo provides a safe home for orphaned and injured native wildlife while inspiring thousands of Belizean students and teachers each year to appreciate and protect the country's extraordinary biodiversity.
